Course Description:
|
In addition to the many developments in our field including significant efforts to improve outcomes measurement, several changes in Federal Law occurred during the past 20 years that impact our ethical standards. The common theme is the attention to the person’s role in decision making, providing care in the most integrated setting and the professional role in determining whether the same level of care could be provided in less restrictive settings. The introduction of evidence-based practices also implies that we should be informing individuals of the most effective treatement regime for the specific condition.
|
Participants Will:
-
Individuals will identify and analyze the main concepts of the ADA Regulations and how they applies to ethical practice.
-
Individuals will assess the impact of the Olmstead Decision with respect to ethical practice.
-
Individuals will recognize the ethical importance of the Evidence Based Practice concept.

Registration closes 08/01/10
