| Course Description |
| Individuals will work more effectively with recipients and colleagues from other cultures, backgrounds, and belief systems. They will also develop and continue to strengthen their personal and organizational cultural competency when they return to their professional settings. |
 |
|
This is a 4-hour class required for all ADHS providers and is a one-time requirement for all non-clinical staff. All new hires from March 1, 2008 and forward have 90 days to complete this course. All other non-clinical staff have 18 months from March 1, 2008 to complete this course.
NOTE: Any individual who has previously completed the 8-hour ADHS Cultural Competency for Clinical staff is exempt from this training.

- Increase effectiveness in working with consumers and colleagues from other cultures, backgrounds and belief systems.
- Develop and continue to strengthen their personal and organizational cultural competence within the professional setting.
