Course Description:

This is part I or a II part lecture.

Presentation and discussion of the basic principles of behavior and applied behavioral analysis including what is behavior, positive and negative reinforcement, punishment, and extinction, methods of measurement and analysis, schedules of reinforcement, cueing and prompting, chaining, shaping, fading and thinning.

 

 

 

 

 Participants Will:

    • Knowledge in how reinforcement maintains both recovery and non recovery behavior
    • Knowledge of the definitions and operations of reinforcement and punishment
    • Knowledge that will facilitate the design and development of interventions that support wellness and recovery
